I Heart Faces Challenge

So here's my entry. I could only get a pet shot. I was determined to NOT put the 'i <3 faces' into my picture by editing.  So I spelled it out with dog food :) I am submitting this photo into the I Heart Faces logo photo contest, and I grant them permission to use it in the marketing and promotion of their website.

Fall in the middle of Winter

So, lots of people ask how I get good pictures of our animals. How I get them to cooperate. And really, it's quite simple. With my horses, I just go out there and pet them for a bit. I bring treats, too. Then they're ok with me being there and will usually stand there. Then I start taking pictures. Look for opportunities at different angles. With some eye shots, I usually hold their nose with one hand and then use the other to take the picture. But, be nice :) My horses are pretty much used to me messing around with them and they love the camera now.

Now, dogs, are a different story! They don't like to hold still. So just be their friend, let them be natural. Also, get down on their level. Especially if they are small dogs. Just have fun with them. And always be ready to snap a shot. Treats and toys are good bribes to get them to hold still and look at you (the camera).

Here are some recent pictures of the animals, and some landscape shots. It looks like fall here, but it's winter :)

I hate it when I have a picture in my head and I just CAN'T find it. I have a perfect picture for the 'What a Clown' category. But I can't find it. So here's what I have instead. Tell me what you think.

So I really want to enter in the I Heart Faces Challenge this week...
This week we have to incorporate 'i <3 faces' into the picture. And, we can enter up to 5 photos. But I don't know what I should do...! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also, the Scottsdale Arabian Horseshow in Februray has a photo contest every year. The pictures have to have an Arabian in them, of course. Here are the categories: 
Foaling Around –Everybody Loves a Baby!, What a Clown!, Beautiful
Arabians, and Horse and Buddy.
You can enter only one photo into each category. But you can enter into as many of them as you want. So I gotta start looking through my pictures to see which one(s) I want to enter. The deadline is Februray 2nd. I might post options so y'all can see.
